Odyssey Snorkel SX is the recent member of Snorkel family. It is a transparent, high performance security gateway that provides Channel security, Authentication and Accountability services, based on Public Key technology for any web enabled application and servers that use the HTTP protocol. It is propitious in typical environments where an application server involved in monetary transactions has to be exposed to the Internet.

Snorkel SX resides between the application server and the Internet, and serves as a secure gateway to the Internet. It ensures the authenticity, confidentiality and Non-Repudiation of every transaction that passes through it.

It operates at the application level and hence more of an extension of the application web server. It shifts the security services from the application server to a separate system without any need for alterations to the application server, thus reducing the load on the application server.
