xorkeesign Wand
xorkee Wand is a component of xorkeesign that allows you to sign and verify files on your desktop with a right click of your mouse. It is the simplest interface of xorkeesign and is available for Microsoft Windows and macOS users. You can download it from here and configure it with your xorkee handle.
If you have files in your PC, signing can never be this easy. Install xorkee Wand and right click on the file or folder and select ‘Sign’. xorkee Wand lets you sign PDF and XML files in their respective signature formats. All the other files are signed in the standard PKCS7 or CMS format.
How simple is xorkee Wand to use?
Using xorkeeWand involves just moving the mouse cursor over the file icon you want to sign and click the right button of the mouse. In the popup menu, select 'xorkeewand' and in the submenu select 'sign'. You get a signature notification on your key device. Click and 'approve' it as you would in any xorkee transaction.
The file is digitally signed and saved in the same name with an additional extension.
Wand requires you to have xorkeesign subscription. If you don’t, you are taken to the subscription page when you attempt to sign.
Features
Made for you and others
By default Wand will sign using your handle but you can provide other handles and the Wand, in true xorkee tradition, routes the signature request to the correct user's key. Such requests will also carry your configured handle so that the signer can know the computer from which the request has come
Sign Remotely
Wand comes in handy when you are away from work and wants to get a file(s) signed. Your associate adds your handle on the system where the file to be signed is stored and right clicks to select ‘Sign’. The signature request reaches your smart phone through xorkee app with details from where the request has been sent, file name, type and size. This way, you can always stay in touch with your desk.
Make full use of your document profiles
Your daily signing workflows are now simpler and seamless with Wand. Using the ‘Profiles’ feature in xorkeesign, pre-define signature positions for files you sign on a regular basis. Create and save individual profiles for your invoices, approval documents, daily reports and so on. Your preferred signature configuration is applied by simply selecting your file type from ‘Set Document Profile’ listed under the xorkee Wand menu.
Sign and email
Enhance your business communication on the go using Wand. Digitally sign and share files over mail directly using the right click menu on your desktop. No more opening different applications and navigating through multiple menus.
Text files and Letterheads to PDF
Your quick notes on text files can now be neatly converted into signed PDF documents by Wand. Wand will also personalize the documents using your custom letterheads. This feature adds even more glamour to your daily memos and simple documents.
Signing PDF files and Sigmarks
xorkee Wand understands the PDF format. It even understands xorkeesign’s Sigmarks placed in a PDF file. When you right click on a PDF file and sign, the signature will be rendered in the appropriate sigmark positions.
Signing entire folders
If your key is in a crypto token, you can sign entire folders of documents with a single right click. xorkeesign will identify the document type and apply the appropriate signature format. This feature is not available for TEE based key users as continuous signing overloads the mobile phones’ power source.
Verifying signature status
In addition to signing the files, the Wand can also help in verifying digitally signed documents. This applies to all formats of signatures including the old .p7s, CMS, XML and also the PDF. The built in verifier recognizes any entity attestations and display the entity added attributes. Using Wand for verification of signatures does not require a subscription and is available for everyone with a xorkee handle.
Signing from desktop applications with xorkee CSP
Wand is an extension to Windows Explorer and MAC finder. In Microsoft Windows, Wand has a companion module installed along with itself called xorkee CSP. This lets the user digitally sign in legacy desktop and browser applications using the xorkee interfaces. It brings the benefit of remote signing and driverless token usage from the familiar interfaces of Adobe Reader, Microsoft Word or any other Windows signature application.
